Frequently Asked

What are the cake toppers made of?

All toppers are made from Polymer Clay. This means the toppers can be kept forever.

Polymer Fimo Clay is a type of plastic – not a traditional clay.

Can the topper be eaten?

Polymer Clay is non-edible.

IMPORTANT – toppers are not toys, and should not be treated as such. Please keep out of reach of children.

How long do the toppers take to make?

Most toppers (in particular Wedding) are ordered several months in advance. I always strive to make them approx 8 weeks before, or earlier if the customer prefers.

I need to be given at least 2-3 weeks notice – to make the toppers, add finishing touches and allow time for any corrections .

However, I do cater for last minute orders – so please use the enquiry form/ text me to ask for availability.

How long do I have to wait to receive my toppers?

Toppers are made and dispatched approx 8 weeks before your wedding date. Orders can be taken a year in advance, but still the toppers won’t be dispatched until nearer to the wedding.

I always provide a PROOF PICTURE for you to check if you are happy. (wedding toppers only)

How can I order?

Fill in an enquiry form, to explain what kind of topper you are looking for. Alternatively, you can phone me direct to request a price or text me for a quote and availability about what you require.

Payments will be taken via PayPal. Orders can be placed by a simple email, providing all details of appearance and outfits. Photographs are always a great help!

What about last minute orders?

I do allow for last minute orders, and prioritise accordingly.  You must allow 2-5 working days for Royal Mail to deliver the toppers.

Emergency orders – Special Delivery must be paid to ensure yout topper arrives in time.

How are the toppers transported?

Toppers are wrapped in bubblewrap and packed in a box. they are sent by Royal Mail Recorded Delivery and take 2-5 days to arrive.

How do I store them once received?

CLAY TOPPERS NEED NO STORAGE INSTRUCTIONS. Just treat them as any ornament.

They can however break if dropped on a hard surface.

Colours won’t fade or tarnish, but keep them dust and dirt free.

How long will the toppers last?

Clay toppers will last forever. But they still can break if dropped, ect.

Sugarpaste is no longer used for bride and groom/ any standing figures. This is due to the fragility of the paste.
